Facilities
Overview
The Salomon Laboratory combines dedicated wet-lab and tissue-culture space, substantial computational infrastructure, direct access to the adjacent Brown Proteomics Core Facility, and university resources in imaging, genomics, flow cytometry, structural biology, and biophysics. Together, these capabilities support mechanistic studies of T cell and CAR T cell signaling from sample preparation through quantitative analysis.

- PCR, electrophoresis, microscopy, refrigerated centrifugation, and monitored cold storage

- Automated parallel HTAPP workflows, 52 TB redundant storage, and nightly institutional backup

Institutional Environment
The laboratory is embedded in Brown University’s Laboratories for Molecular Medicine, where wet-lab research is supported by nearby shared facilities, specialized instrumentation, and experienced scientific staff. These resources extend our experimental reach beyond proteomics while keeping complementary approaches close to the laboratory.
Leduc Bioimaging Facility
Confocal, multiphoton, high-content fluorescence, electron microscopy, and specialized imaging sample preparation.
Genomics Core at LMM
Sequencing, quantitative PCR, plate scanning, and LI-COR infrared imaging for nucleic acid and protein measurements.
Flow Cytometry and Sorting
Multiparameter flow analysis, high-throughput acquisition, and cell sorting with FACSAria, FACSCelesta, and Cytek Aurora systems.
Structural Biology and Biophysics
500, 600, and 850 MHz NMR spectroscopy, isothermal titration calorimetry, microscale thermophoresis, circular dichroism, and fluorescence measurements.
