Our Commitment to Web Accessibility

The Salomon Cell Signaling Proteomics Lab is committed to making this website accessible to people with disabilities and to conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard required by Brown University’s Web Accessibility Policy.

Current accessibility status

As of July 30, 2026, all publicly available pages on cellpathway.com have undergone accessibility remediation and evaluation against WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Testing included automated structural and color-contrast checks, keyboard navigation, 200% and 400% reflow, mobile layouts, reduced-motion behavior, control sizing, and manual testing with macOS VoiceOver. No known accessibility barriers were identified during this evaluation.

This assessment covers the seven public pages on cellpathway.com and the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PNG, and JPEG technologies used by those pages. It does not cover content on external websites reached through publication, journal, PubMed, PubMed Central, Brown University, mapping, or other external links.

Accessibility features

  • A keyboard-accessible link for skipping repeated navigation and moving directly to the main content.
  • Programmatic page language, page headings, and content landmarks that support screen-reader navigation.
  • Alternative text for meaningful images and empty alternative text for decorative images.
  • Keyboard-accessible controls and a Pause control for the homepage photograph slideshow.
  • Reduced-motion alternatives for animated research graphics, publication buttons, and the homepage slideshow.
  • Visible keyboard focus indicators for navigation and interactive components.

Ongoing monitoring

Accessibility will be reviewed again when significant content or functionality is added. Although no barriers are currently known, visitors are encouraged to report any difficulty so it can be investigated and addressed promptly.
